Meet the coach

My name is Lindsey, I am the owner and lead coach for Bristol Women’s Karate. Having lived in Hampshire for the last 24 years, I recently moved to Bristol and am keen to offer the opportunity to as many women as possible in and around Bristol to get involved in this life-changing sport.

I have been training and coaching in karate for over 30 years and primarily study Shotokan and Shitoryu styles of karate. I am a 5th dan black belt, am fully insured, DBS checked and hold additional qualifications in First Aid and Safeguarding.

I have had a successful competitive career and have won many British, European and World titles including:

I also had the honour of being invited to perform during the opening ceremony of the 2016 World Championships in Dublin, the 2017 European Championships in Romania and the 2016 Tafisa World Games in Indonesia.

I retired from competition in 2016 and continue to get great pleasure from coaching and passing on my passion for Karate to others.
